Webinar notes from 2016: The last webinar of 2016 was held in November when we were joined by Michael Golway of Advanced Solutions and Jay Hoying, PhD of the University of Louisville.

What’s new for 2017:

Beginning in 2017, ISACB is offering a membership discount! The first 10 non-member webinar registrants will receive a promo code to enter for 50% off a new ISACB membership*. The first webinar of 2017 was held on February 28th and included talks from ISACB Member Dr. Craig Goergen from Purdue University and Dr. Alison Marsden from Stanford University on the topic “Multi-modality imaging and flow simulations to assess cardiovascular disease progression and optimize surgical treatment”. Recorded webinars can be accessed by ISACB Members on the society’s website: www.isacb.org/webinars. Webinar recording views have now reached over 1500 views!

In April, the ISACB will co-sponsor a session at the 5th International Conference on Computational and Mathematical Biomedical Engineering, and broadcast one session as a Special ISACB Webinar. E-mail flyers will be distributed later in March for this special ISACB Webinar, exclusive for ISACB members.

Our next regular ISACB Webinar will be held on May 18th, 2017 11am (EST) on the topic “Proteomics: State-of-the-Art and Applications for Uncovering Novel Molecular Pathways of Cardiovascular Pathologies.” Dynamic presentations from Dr. Sasha Singh of Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School and Dr. Claudia Goettsch from University Hospital, Aachen, Germany, a 2016 Allan Callow, MD Young Investigator Award recipient, can be anticipated.

Webinar topics later in 2017 include Heart Failure and Myocardial Repair and presentations from our Young Investigator Award winners from that Banff Meeting.
